Sarcoma Awareness Events in July 2012

As we reach the midpoint of Sarcoma Awareness Month we wanted to take some time to recognize the work that other organizations are doing to drive awareness of sarcoma.

Events across the US during Sarcoma Awareness Month:

July 14: 2nd Annual Pittsburgh Cure Sarcoma 5K Run/Walk. This sarcoma fundraiser will be held at the North Park Boat House in Allison Park, PA.  Details on the Pittsburgh Cure Sarcoma 5K Run/Walk

July 14: Flapjack Fundraiser. The Eric D. Davis Sarcoma Foundation (that’s us) is hosting a Flapjack Fundraiser on Saturday at the Applebee’s in Garland, Texas. If you are interested in attending, please visit this link for details. Details on the EDDF Flapjack Fundraiser:

July 15: The annual Stomp Out Sarcoma 5K Fun Run/Walk to Support Sarcoma Research at the UMCCC. This event will be held Sunday at Hudson Mills Metro Park in Dexter, Michigan. Details on the Stomp Out Sarcoma 5K Fun Run/Walk:

July 21: Car Show for a Cure will be held at Washington Township High School Sewell, NJ. Details on the Car Show for a Cure:

July 22: Cancer Survivorship Expo. This one-day event in Irvine, California, is sponsored by the Sarcoma Alliance. It is designed to give support and information about cancer and related diseases. Details on the Cancer Survivorship Expo:

July 23: The 8th Annual Marcia Brodsky Memorial Golf Outing for Sarcoma Research at Stonebridge Golf Links and Country Club in Smithtown, NY. Details on the Marcia Brodsky Memorial Golf Outing for Sarcoma Research:

July 23: Family Picnic and Party in the Park. The Rein In Sarcoma’s 12th annual Party in the Park will feature music, carousel rides, auctions, children’s activities and more at Cafesjian’s Carousel and Como Park Visitors Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. July 26: Melting Pot Fundraiser. Enjoy a delicious fondue dinner and a glass of wine at the Melting Pot in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
