EDDF Marks Two Years as an Organization and Offers Many New Ways For You to Provide the Assist to Find a Cure for Sarcoma

As the Eric D. Davis Sarcoma Foundation (EDDF) proudly marks their second year as an organization, they have several easy ways that volunteers and donors can get involved in the fight against sarcoma. The first is the Give2Hope campaign, launching today, on EDDF’s second anniversary.

“We are honored to mark our second anniversary on World Cancer Day,” Nia Davis, Chairman and President of EDDF said. “To help us observe this milestone, we ask that anyone who can, donates $2 to help in our mission both February 4, 2014 and every Tuesday for the year.”

Donations can be made through EricDDavisFoundation.org and 100% of those donations go directly to patients with a sarcoma or a rare cancer diagnosis.  Tuesdays following the anniversary are called $2 Tuesdays and donations are welcomed on those days throughout the year.

Another important way that people can get involved with EDDF is by attending or volunteering at an event planned to say thank you to everyone involved with their mission.  That event is the 2014 Key to Hope brunch on March 2.

“Our annual brunch gives us an opportunity to express our gratitude to our volunteers and donors,” Davis said. “We are also welcoming anyone who would like to attend as a guest or give a few hours of their day to volunteer at the event.”

The Key to Hope Brunch will include delicious food, guest speakers and more. It will be held March 2, 2014 from 12-2pm at Westlake House on 421 Gross Road in Mesquite, Texas.  It is $25 to attend and more details can be found on this page. Volunteers will be in attendance at the event and assist with set-up and breakdown of décor as well as handling miscellaneous responsibilities during the brunch.

Contact EDDF for more information on volunteering or any questions about attending the brunch.
