Sometimes it can appear that in the war on cancer, that the disease is winning. Although we have lost many, there are many more that have survived or are still fighting. Improvements in early diagnosis and treatments for common cancers provide hope for the sarcoma community. With all the things that cancer does to you, there are countless things it cannot do. It cannot cripple love or alter hope. It cannot silence courage or the will to fight. War is won through a series of battles. Understanding how limited cancer really is allows us to win the psychological battle that keeps us motivated to ultimately win the cancer war.
