Beat Cancer is a cancer event founded by Kodi Zene at Music Hall at Fair Park in Dallas on August 23, 2013.
It will begin with a gathering of informational tables hosted by various foundations. This is a time where the audience can walk around, meet different organizations and learn about the important work each group is doing. EDDF will have a table set up and we encourage everyone to stop by and learn about our work.
When Kodi’s parents were acing their own individual fights with cancer, Kodi decided to write them a song. That song is now at the heart of Beat Cancer. After the conference, the music hall will be filled with cancer survivors, caregivers and anyone who has been touched by cancer. They will help sing the song Kodi wrote and the concert will be filmed for a documentary and music video. The song and music video will be put on iTunes and proceeds will benefit Love Hope Strenth (LHS), a global, music-based cancer foundation focused on saving lives, growing a bone marrow donor registry and building clinics around the world.
